The intro to "Elfen Lied"

Besides it being an awesome intro and series by itself, it's also an intro that doesn't contain a single anime cliché.

You know that animes tend to have the same kind of intro formula; where characters epicly walk on an empty field, stick out their hand towards the camera, or open their eyes at you and give you that badass stare, all this while some badly sung Japanese pop song plays in the background.
And I've had quite enough of that. As decent a series may be, the intro is just as important, but it seems like it's the element that keeps getting glanced over by animators.
